The Zululand Tree Lodge is beautifully located in the heart of Zululand, in a fever tree forest, a mere 3 hours drive from Durban.

This lodge is a truly special getaway where guests are accommodated in 24 luxurious stilted chalets. Ideal for couples, this romantic getaway is famous for Rhino spotting, and is adjacent to the world renowned Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserve.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Zululand Tree Lodge consists of luxurious thatched chalets raised above the floor on stilts, set in the cool tranquility of a fever tree forest.

Each of our 24 luxury "Tree Lodges" include an en-suite bathroom with shower, a double bed, a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private balcony with enchanting views into the surrounding forest. All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and insect nets, and are serviced daily by housekeeping.

Gourmet Dining

Meals are served in the Boma, an outdoor, covered dining area that overlooks the fever tree forest and water hole. At night, log fires are lit creating a romantic, bush atmosphere. The pan-African cuisine offers a variety of dishes in buffet style and usually includes a venison dish amongst the choices of meat dishes.

The breakfast buffet includes traditional fare as well as an array of locally grown fresh fruits, yoghurts and health cereals. Lunch is an informal meal as most guests are out exploring the wonders of the area.

For those who prefer to spend the day relaxing beside the swimming pool or with a book in our spacious lounge, a light lunch is available off the room service menu.

Conference Facilities

When arriving at the Zululand Tree Lodge, conference delegates are greeted by an African drum roll. Offering a unique, casual conference atmosphere, large glass windows welcome an African view of a breathtaking Fevertree Forrest.

Standard conference equipment is available and the Lodge can accommodate up to 60 delegates. Besides the work at the Lodge, conference delegates have an opportunity to be pampered with a choice of massage treatments, within the privacy of individual suites.
