Morocco Golf Holidays - Morocco Vacations

Strangely very few golfers around the world know that Morocco is home to some of Africa's most breathtaking golf courses. As a holiday destination Morocco is famous for its incredible natural beauty and vast open spaces - the perfect location for your next golf holiday as you're spoilt for choice when it comes to golf in Morocco!

Most cities have a few golfing gems to flaunt, the main centres being around Marrakech and Agadir. During your golf holiday in Morocco, we can also recommend stopping by the Royal Golf Club Dar Es-Salam in Rabat - home of the annual Hassan II Trophy.

Marrakech houses some of the finest golf courses in Morocco, including the Royal Golf Club lying at the foothills of the majestic Atlas Mountains; and Golf Palmeraie which is set amidst a lush landscape interspersed with seven lakes.

The city of Agadir, south of Marrakech, is totally new and modern, and is fast developing into Morocco’s major resort town chiefly because of its magnificent sandy beaches. The region is home to fabulous courses such as Golf Du Soleil and the 27 hole layout The Dunes Golf Club.

Morocco Info

Morocco is an eclectic mix of lively souks, towering mountains, deep gorges, ancient Roman, imperial cities and spicy aromas.

Relish in the vibrant history of each region, barter for traditional pottery in the labyrinth of souks, top up your tan on the countless golden beaches, wander through the blue and white medina of Chefchaouen, explore the Sahara on the back of a camel and experience a Berber camp under the stars.

Morocco has a very varied climate offering snow capped peaks visible from scorching desert dunes. Thanks to its mountains, the influence of the Atlantic and Mediterranean in addition to its size, the climate is perfect somewhere at any particular times of year.

The country is renowned for its vast contrasts, mystery and colour. It has an ageless quality which the modern world has lost, a sense that the past still lives on in all its glory and savagery. One is plunged into a culture and a lifestyle completely unlike anything that you have ever experienced before. Morocco is a land of enchantment, lasting allure and eternal surprises.

Combine a few days on the beach with exploring the kasbahs and oases of the Sahara. You could vanish into the medieval world of Morocco's ancient cities and souks. Major attractions also include trekking on foot or on horseback in the high Atlas or skiing in Oukaimeden.

In recent times the excellence of the Moroccan cuisine has become more widely recognized. It is a healthy and varied diet, drawing from Arab, Berber, Jewish, African and French traditions. The best known dishes are tajines, couscous and wonderful fresh salads.
