Golf Holiday Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Cape Town International. Collect your luggage and clear passport control. Head to Avis where you’ll collect your hired vehicle and drive to The Last Word Franschhoek Hotel, located in Franschhoek.
Check in and spend the remainder of the day at leisure beside the pool.
Day 2
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out to De Zalze Golf Course. The De Zalze Golf Course was designed by Peter Matkovich who has made the most of this stunning setting and created a course that places a premium on accuracy.
Explore Franschhoek and surrounds at your own pace after golf.
Day 3
Meet your guide at reception after breakfast. Today you’ll embark on a full day wine tasting tour. The Cape Winelands are surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and fertile green valleys. The region has a Mediterranean climate and the winter rainfall of the south-western Cape helps producing some of the best wines in the world. Towns and villages in the Cape Winelands have many historic homesteads, museums and monuments to discover. Visit famous wine estates around Franschhoek such as Boschendal and La Motte before returning to the hotel.
Day 4
Have a delicious breakfast before teeing off at Pearl Valley Golf Course. Although no individual can lay claim to the overall design of Pearl Valley, the masterplan was shaped by the vision of Jack Nicklaus. This golf legend sees the Pearl Valley course as the sum of his knowledge and his experience. Return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 5
Meet your guide at reception for your second full day wine tour. Today you’ll be visiting wine farms and places of interest on the famous Stellenbosch Wine Route.
Return to the hotel before dinner.
Day 6
Enjoy breakfast and a relax at the hotel before checking out. Return your vehicle to Avis at Cape Town International. Do some last minute duty free shopping before boarding your flight back home.
