Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamilton’s Tented Camp reflects a safari adventure of the early twentieth century, where grace and style were the epitome luxurious living.

Six magnificent canvas tents complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets, slipper baths, outdoor showers and a superb view of the seasonal river are linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees.

The main lodge is home to an inviting lounge, scattered with early 1900s objet d’art whilst the opulent dining area adds to the delight of this tranquil spot overlooking the river.

Hamiltons Tented Camp offers the highest standard of International cuisine with an African Flair. With a renowned wine list to match and impeccable service, even the most discerning traveller can be accommodated.

Child Policy

Hamilton’s Tented Camp does not accommodate for children under 8 yrs. Children 8-12 years will be allocated a separate vehicle with their parents and they will be catered for separately at dinner.

Children will be charged the full adult rate and will be accommodated in their own rooms.

The camp is unfenced and wildlife moves freely throughout the camp, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their children are accompanied at all times. Children under the ages of 8 may only visit if one of the camps is booked for the exclusive use of a party.

Accommodation
Hamilton’s Tented Camp luxury tents offer silver service, personalised cuisine, a secluded swimming pool for ultimate privacy and an open tented lounge for your luxurious accommodation in Kruger Park. Hamilton’s Tented Camp, luxury tents have mosquito nets, slipper baths and an air-conditioner and ceiling fans.

Hamilton’s Tented Camp has 6 magnificently appointed and romantic tents overlooking the Ngwenyeni Dam. Each room has a King Size bed and ensuite bathroom with built-in shower.

At Hamilton’s Tented Camp all your meals are included. Meal times are definitely not to be missed as the chefs spoil guests with exceptional cuisine. Breakfast is served between 09h00 and 10h30, lunch between 14h00 -15h00 and gourmet dinner is at 20h30. Check in time is between 11h00 and 14h00, check out time is at 11h00. The water is safe to drink, while bottled water is placed in your room courtesy of Hamilton’s Tented Camp.

Additional Services
Hamilton’s Tented Camp offers guests 2 daily ranger guided safaris in the Kruger National Park. During the summer months, morning drives depart at 05h30 and evening drives depart at 17h30. In winter the morning drives depart at 06h00 and evening drives depart at 16h00.

Hamilton’s Tented Camp morning game drives last about 3 hours. Evening game drives last about 4 hours with a stop for sundowners before viewing nocturnal wildlife on your safari in Kruger Park. Hamilton’s Tented Camp’s dress code is casual, with a congenial atmosphere. Tea and coffee is available in the lounge area at no additional charge and a fully licensed bar is available – also, at no cost (local drinks, beers, wines and spirits).
